"A recurring theme that links all of my Bijinga work is the representation of ‘wind’ in its varying forms which I represent by shimmering light and sparkles. I strive to illustrate the Japanese sense of the seasons, and our emotional sensitivity towards them. Bijinga, combining the beauty of the female form with the movement of air and wind, is the best way to express the Japanese spirit. Many forms of life are at the mercy of air since without breathing, they cannot live. Air is, therefore, an integral part of our existence. All life is full of love; it is born of nature and returns to nature.
In a reflection of nature itself, which is a giant cradle that nurtures all life on Earth, the fundamental joy of womanhood culminates in the absolute beauty of child bearing and nurturing. In depicting their graceful form and facial expressions, I try to express the dignity, the strength of will, or the weaknesses of beautiful women.
Though we make a huge impact on it, the human race is only a tiny part of what we call 'nature.' It is up to us to take care of the Earth. When I'm working on Bijinga these things are constantly on my mind."
