Bordeaux Glasses (Pair) - wine glass

USUHARI - Exquisite, Ultra-Thin, Lead-Free Glasses

Designed for full-bodied reds like Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, as it directs wine to the back of the mouth, the broad bowl shape allows the distinctive characteristics of Bordeaux wines the freedom to unfold.

Expanding both the visual and taste experience, these glasses have their own special characteristics and offer a superb, elegant way of serving and enjoying drinks at dinners and festive occasions.

A beautiful though barely perceptible presence to begin with, fill the Usuhari and feel the glass transmit the wine's coolness and fluidity to the palm. Close your eyes and experience this moment of floating as the glass disappears and the liquid is suspended in the palm of your hand.

Each ultra-thin, distinctive piece conveys finesse and sophistication. Mouth-blown by one of the very few masters with the skill and experience to achieve this shape in 0.9mm glass, Usuhari glasses are refined and eye-catching. The artisans use tech developed by SHOTOKU GLASS’s previous incarnation as a light bulb manufacturer (est. 1922). Each set is presented in a traditionally bespoke paulownia (Kiri) wooden box adding to its attractiveness as a gift for the lover of Bordeaux wines.

Delicate Strength

Despite their fragile appearance Usuhari glasses can be handled with the same level of care as other glassware.
